Preflight Assessment Scenarios The scenarios here depict typical preflight assessment situations in Western Australia. They are based on real cases and highlight the mix of both clinical and logistical challenges which confront RFDS doctors when dealing with rural emergency scenarios. There is no ‘right’ answer necessarily. They they provide challenging problems in the context of the vast remote areas and limited resources available in WA, and offer a consensus on what is most probably the best decision in the circumstances.
